APPEALS

Appellate advocacy is a specialist skill. It requires clear thinking and hard talking. Where a case has not gone according to plan the losing party needs fast, realistic and objective advice. They need a barrister who is inventive in devising grounds of appeal where they exist, but who will tell them the truth about their prospects of success. Only then can they make an informed decision about how they should proceed. The right advice at an early stage is essential.

The Appeal Courts are rightly tough venues and appearing there requires experience and the confidence familiarity brings. At Central Chambers we have barristers well experienced at all appellate levels. We can give our clients robust advice on the merits of their appeal and if there are grounds we will find them. If an appeal is the right course we will draft Grounds of Appeal and written submissions for the Court followed by oral argument. We can apply for bail pending appeal if appropriate and if successful, apply for costs to cover the expense of our work.
